On 15th September 2024, Under the Comprehensive Community Development Project (CCDP), a successful Silage-Making Training was held in Kalika Municipality-10, aimed at equipping local farmers with essential skills to enhance livestock feed quality. Silage, which is produced through anaerobic bacterial fermentation, converts fodder into nutrient-rich succulent feed for domestic animals, reducing grazing activities and improving forage quality.
The training saw enthusiastic participation from local farmers, who are now equipped with advanced silage-making techniques that will boost the nutritional value of livestock feed, lower feed costs, and reduce harvest losses. The commitment displayed by the participants reflects their dedication to improving livestock farming practices in the region. The organizers of the training expressed their gratitude, acknowledging the participants' energy and dedication throughout the event. With these newly acquired skills, the farmers are expected to contribute to better livestock productivity and sustainability in Kalika Municipality. This training marks a significant step forward in improving rural livelihoods and advancing sustainable agricultural practices in the region.
