On 10 April 2025, Sapana Village Social Impact organized an organic coffee farming training in Kolbhanjyang, Chaukidanda, to encourage locals to adopt coffee cultivation. With Chitwan’s mountainous terrain being ideal for coffee, it offers farmers a profitable alternative to traditional crops. Varieties such as Mix Bourbon, Red Bourbon, Yellow Caturá, and Katimor were introduced. To support farmers, SVSI has established a coffee nursery in Chaukidanda, providing plants at minimal cost to ensure commitment and care. The initiative aims to boost sustainable income opportunities in the region empowering local people.
