Sapana Village Social Impact in Chitwan Nepal is ensuring food for those families most in need during the lockdown and pandemic situation.
The team of SVSI distributed food relief packages to 45 Musahar families of Ratnanagar 7, Malpur, Chitwan cooperating with 6 Degrees Academy for Women and Veiling met een missie Zoeterwoude Netherlands. These families belong to the most marginalized ethnic group in Chitwan who depend on daily labor works for surviving. The women run an organic vegetable farm forming a cooperative Sapana Madhtabarti Musahar Women Farmer Group. Due to the lockdown, they couldn’t get the proper markets for their products and all other construction works are closed as well. As per the request of local government and the observation of SVSI team, they were in urgent need of food packages that we were able to do yesterday. Our team also distributed food care packages to 95 families of Ratnanagar-8 a few days ago.
The food packages included rice, cooking oil, lentil, salt and masks. SVSI continues helping those families who are suffering these days in various ways. Thank you everyone for encouraging our team.
