520 Biomass Stoves Distributed in Kolbhanjyang and Hattibang

On October 27th and 28th, Sapana Village Social Impact (SVSI) made a significant step towards environmental conservation and livelihood enhancement by distributing 520 biomass stoves in Kolbhanjyang and Hattibang (IRM-1). This initiative is a part of SVSI’s broader commitment to distribute 750 biomass stoves free of charge to local communities, promoting sustainable energy practices and providing eco-friendly cooking solutions.

The distribution event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including the Honorable Krishna Prasad Silwal Minister of Forest and Environment for Bagmati Province; Former Member of Parliament Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel; Narayan Prasad Adhikari Chief Officer of the District Coordination Committee; Dan Bahadur Gurung Chairperson of IRM; Maya Silwal Vice-Chairperson of IRM; and Santa Rana Magar Ward Chairperson of IRM-1, along with other respected community representatives.

The event underscored the collective effort to support environmental sustainability while enhancing the quality of life for the local population. SVSI extends its heartfelt gratitude to Riksja Travel for their generous financial support in constructing the biomass eco stoves, making this impactful initiative possible.
